Be inspired by Great Women like:

Julie Stapp is the National Director of Leadership Development at the Flippen Group.

She began her work with the Flippen Group team training educators across the U. S. In 1995, she served as a mentor and teacher in the Teen LeadershipTM after-school model and began teaching Teen Leadership the following year at Marcus High School in Lewisville ISD, Texas. In addition to teaching, she was a high school varsity basketball coach.  During this time she was named District Coach of the Year 1994 and 1995 and was also recognized by Fox sports network as coaches who make a difference. Prior to her work with the Flippen group, Julie coached women’s basketball at Stephen F. Austin University.  Julie graduated from Sam Houston State University with a bachelor’s degree in education and was one of the first women inducted into Sam Houston’s Athletic Hall of Fame.

HON.  KIMBERLY YEE, Treasurer of Arizona

The Honorable Kimberly Yee serves as the 36th Treasurer of Arizona.

Treasurer Yee is the first Asian American elected to a statewide office in Arizona’s history.  She is also the first Chinese American Republican woman to win a major statewide office in United States history.  With eight years of experience in the Arizona Legislature, as well as four years working for the Arizona State Treasurer’s Office, Treasurer Yee brings a unique perspective to this important financial leadership role for Arizona.

Treasurer Yee was first elected to the Arizona Legislature in 2010 and served as the Senate Majority Leader.  Kimberly Yee was the second woman elected as Senate Majority Leader in Arizona’s history, following U.S. Justice Sandra Day O’Connor when she served the position in 1973, forty-four years earlier.

Prior to elected office, Kimberly Yee served a career in public service in federal, state and local government.  She served as Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, as a Policy Analyst for Governor Pete Wilson and on the executive team of Arizona State Treasurer Dean Martin.

KATHY HOFFMAN, State Superintendent of Public Instruction

Kathy Hoffman was elected State Superintendent of Public Instruction in November 2018, and assumed office in January 2019. Superintendent Hoffman has spent her entire career working in public education, first as a pre-school teacher and then as a speech-language pathologist. She began her career in the Vail School District in Southern Arizona before joining the Peoria School District.

Her experience as both an educator and advocate for students with disabilities informs her vision for public education. Throughout her career, she has fought tirelessly for equal access to high-quality public education regardless of a student’s race, gender, or zip code. She asserts that only through committed investment and inclusive policies can Arizona bring its public schools from the bottom to the top of the nation’s school systems. Superintendent Hoffman firmly believes that Arizona’s future starts in our schools.
