The National Distinguished Principals Program was established in 1984 as an annual event to honor exemplary elementary and middle school principals who set the pace, character, and quality of the education children receive during their early school years.

NASSP Principal of the Year program

began in 1993 as a means to recognize outstanding middle level and high school principals. The program honors secondary school principals who have succeeded in providing high-quality learning opportunities for students as well as their exemplary contributions to the profession.

NASSP Assistant Principal of the Year

Established in 2004 to recognize secondary school assistant principals for their dedication and success in school leadership

  

Dr. Raymond Sterling Kellis Leadership Award


MS Word nomination form. (deadline: May 1, 2010)
ASA established the Dr. Raymond Sterling Kellis Leadership Award to recognize the outstanding life-long contributions Dr. Raymond Sterling Kellis made to leadership in education in our state. The award will be presented to a person who most exemplifies the leadership style of the late Dr. Kellis. This is a singular award and will be given at the discretion of the ASA Executive Board at the summer conference on the occasion when an applicant/nominee is deemed to have met the criteria.

 

All Arizona Superintendent Award

 

MS Word nomination form. (deadline:October 30, 2009)At the ASBA/ASA Superintendents Division joint convention, three significant awards will be given to three outstanding superintendents.

 

ASA Distinguished Administrator Awards

At our Annual Summer Conference, a Distinguished Administrator from each division (Elementary, Secondary, Middle Level, Superintendents, Educational Services, and Higher Education) will be honored. These are selected by a committee from the nomination forms submitted.
